two shoes

The sky was this crazy orange when I woke up this morning
                                                                                                            not just the sky, everything
                                                          so bright between our faces
                                                                                                            fading but
                                                                                                            caught and bathed
                                                                          Mostly it was you
                                                                                      just waking                                                                                                             as the orange filled
                                                                                                            even our yard
                                                                                    with the rain.
